EUNIC in Algeria Focus

“Focus on EUNIC in Algeria” is a project supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Algeria to help develop EUNIC Algeria’s joint activities and strengthen cultural cooperation between Algeria and Europe. The project aims to build the cluster’s capacity to design and implement a shared programme, increase its visibility and communication tools, and encourage new collaborations with Algerian cultural actors.

The project pays particular attention to co-construction with local partners, the sharing of experience, and the development of initiatives tailored to the realities of Algeria’s cultural and creative sector. Its activities cover a variety of fields, including cinema, literature and comics, languages, visual arts, heritage, contemporary creation, and the professional development of cultural and creative practitioners.

Funded by the European Commission and supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Algeria, this project is rooted in a spirit of dialogue and cooperation. Through a shared programme focused on literature, creation and intercultural exchange, we support Algerian cultural actors through events, training and artist residencies.

The project places special emphasis on co-creation with local partners, the exchange of experience, and the development of initiatives adapted to the realities of Algeria’s cultural and creative sector. Its activities span a range of areas, including cinema, literature and comics, languages, visual arts, heritage, contemporary creation and the professional development of cultural and creative practitioners.

Through this initiative, the European Union contributes to strengthening EUNIC Algeria as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and cultural relations between Algeria and Europe.
